PLANER MILL IMPROVEMENTS
Newberry, South Carolina
FME provided geotechnical services for upgrades to the existing planer mill at the West Fraser Lumber Mill in Newberry. Improvements included new equipment designated as the tilt hoist, planer, trimmer, sorter, and package maker.
FME performed a subsurface exploration and laboratory testing, and developed recommendations for site preparation, general foundation design, and foundation design for each piece of new equipment.
