FME Adds Christine Cafagna to Environmental Team
(December 14, 2017) – F&ME Consultants, Inc. (FME) is pleased to announce the hiring of Christine Cafagna as Senior Environmental Manager in its Columbia, SC office at 1825 Blanding Street. Ms. Cafagna comes to F&ME with more than 14 years of environmental consulting and project management experience. She has managed a diverse range of environmental assessment, compliance, and remediation projects across the country, to include large scale real estate development projects, NEPA documentation, brownfields, environmental remediation, and site characterization/investigation. Ms. Cafagna also has experience with indoor and outdoor air quality, water permitting, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, environmental impact statements, hazardous materials, water quality, wetlands, hazardous waste, stormwater, and litigation support.
FME Presented ACEC-SC Engineering Excellence Award
(February 8, 2017) – On February 7, 2017, F&ME Consultants, Inc. (FME) received an ACEC-SC Engineering Excellence Award for its work on the SC 171 Replacement Bridges over Folly Creek and Folly River in Charleston County, South Carolina. FME was one of the highest scoring entrants and was qualified to enter the ACEC national competition.
Engineering Excellence, sponsored by the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (ACEC-SC), recognizes engineering achievements that demonstrate the highest degree of merit and ingenuity. The projects are judged on original or innovative application of new or existing techniques; future value to the engineering profession and perception by the public; social, economic, and sustainable design considerations; complexity; and exceeding owner/client needs.
