BULL STREET REDEVELOPMENT
Columbia, South Carolina
FME provided geotechnical services for the 165-acre Bull Street Redevelopment Phase I roadway and sewer project. Phase I focused on the roadways, sewer, and water piping to be installed to provide service to the new baseball stadium. The roadways include a combination of light and heavy-duty vehicle access to the stadium. The sewer main includes approximately 11,000 linear feet of new sewer main, which is parallel to Smith Branch and consists of laterals servicing the baseball stadium.
FME performed a subsurface exploration and laboratory testing, and developed general recommendations for pipe bedding, manhole foundations, jack and bore requirements, and asphalt pavement designs.
